MuxLab Launches HDMI/RS232 Extender Kit

Montreal, Canada - October 1 2013 - MuxLab Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of the newest addition to its HDMI line of products; the HDMI/RS232 Extender Kit (500454, 500454-RX). The kit allows HDMI equipment to be connected up to 230 ft (70 m) at all resolutions up to 1080p via one Cat 5e/6 unshielded twisted pair cable in a point-to-point configuration.


The Extender provides an easy to use solution for various applications such as digital signage, industrial and commercial AV systems, classroom projector systems, boardroom systems and medical information systems.

"The Extender supports all digital audio modes and RS232 which makes it an ideal choice for such a wide variety of applications" said Marc Bohbot, MuxLab's Director of R&D.

The 500454 also has the ability to support 3D of HDMI 1.4 and bi-directional IR remote source control. The Kit includes an IR Emitter (MuxLab model 500998) and IR Sensor (MuxLab model 500999).
