Somfy Systems Debuts New Z-Wave to Radio Technology Somfy® Interface at 2013 CEDIA Expo

Somfy Systems, Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of motors and electronic controls for interior and exterior window coverings, is introducing a new Z-Wave to Radio Technology Somfy® Interface (ZRTSI) at this year's CEDIA Expo.

The new ZRTSI makes integrating Somfy RTS motorized products into Z-Wave-based automation systems easier than ever and recently won a 2013 Exc!te Award from Technology Integrator.

The ZRTSI is a Z-Wave bridge controller that receives Z-Wave transmissions from third party automation systems and converts them to motor commands for Somfy's full range of interior and exterior RTS motors. One ZRTSI can be used to control up to 16 individual RTS motorized products or 16 groups of RTS motorized products within Z-Wave-based home automation systems. A new backlit LCD screen and intuitive menu-driven programming promotes simplified integration of Somfy products into any Z-Wave-based automation system, including TaHomA®, Somfy's own automation system.

"With so many different Z-Wave home automation systems on the market today, we want to make sure there's an easy way to incorporate Somfy-powered motorization into all of them," said Thomas Harkness, Somfy Technical Services Manager.

Somfy's new ZRTSI will be on display at the Z-Wave Alliance booth, #512, at CEDIA Expo 2013 September 25-28 in Denver, CO. To book an appointment to visit a Somfy representative please contact Tracey Benjamini at tbenjamini@randjpr.com. For more information on ZRTSI please visit www.somfypro.com/z-wave.
