CEA Introduces MotionTech TechZone for the 2014 International CES

New exhibits to feature innovations in motion technology

Arlington, Va., October 1, 2013 - The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced MotionTech, the newest TechZone at the 2014 International CES®. Owned and produced by CEA, the 2014 CES is the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, scheduled to run January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sponsored by MEMS Industry Group, MotionTech will showcase leading innovation in the motion technology field, including MEMS, the smallest motion-sensing devices. From gesture recognition and augmented reality, to eye-tracking technology and motion sensors, attendees will discover new ways to connect and interact with their devices.

"Sensor technologies are changing the way we use our tech devices and empowering us to use motion technology tools in new, more personalized ways for gaming, health and fitness monitoring, security systems and more," said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy. "The response to CES' MotionTech has been exciting and is proof that motion technologies have advanced past their industrial uses and are growing to create new capabilities in the consumer sector."

Major sensor and gesture recognition exhibitors at the 2014 CES include: Hillcrest Laboratories, Inc., MEMS Industry Group, Movea, Inc., PointGrab, PrimeSense, SoftKinetic and Tobii Technology AB. The MotionTech TechZone will span 3,000 net square feet of exhibit space in the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center LVCC, South Hall 2, creating synergy with the gaming, health and lifestyle areas on the show floor.

The 2014 CES will feature 20 market-specific TechZones highlighting innovations across 15 different product categories. Companies interested in exhibiting in the new TechZone, MotionTech, should contact Aurelie Cornett at acornett@CE.org or 703-907-5245.

Comelit - VIP Kit With Planux Monitor With WIFI/3G/4G Remote APP - 8512IM

The kit allows use of the video entry phone system via a door entry monitor as well as tablets and smartphones on the Wi-Fi network, or remotely on 3G (or higher) networks. The gateway in the pack allows connection of other devices (Comelit VIP door entry monitors or PCs) besides the door entry monitor supplied. In all cases, the gateway should be connected to an ASDL router or another device guaranteeing local Wi-Fi and mobile 3G connectivity. Depending on bandwidth limitations, the gateway can serve up to 15 appliances (including door entry monitors, smartphones, tablets and PCs) with 4 simultaneous door entry monitor streams. It also allows "intercom" communication between all of the 16 devices served. For mobile devices, whenever both modes are available and enabled, the app automatically switches. .
