An ultra high-end home theater control center
DENVER, Colorado - At CEDIA 2013, the HARMAN Luxury Audio Group is showcasing its JBL Synthesis SDP-45 Surround Processor, an ultra high-end home theater control center that offers extraordinary audio and video performance. Designed to be the heart of a JBL Synthesis custom-installation home entertainment system, the 7.1-channel SDP-45 offers a wealth of versatile features including eight HDMI™ inputs, compatibility with all popular surround sound formats, balanced and single-ended connections, easy to use setup menus and much more.
"Our JBL Synthesis complete custom-installation home theater systems are created to deliver nothing less than the ultimate home entertainment experience," said Jim Garrett, Director of Marketing and Product Management, HARMAN Luxury Audio Group and Loudspeakers. "With the introduction of the SDP-45, we are able to offer an outstanding combination of performance, flexibility to accommodate the widest range of video and audio sources and total ease of operation."
The JBL Synthesis SDP-45 offers exceptional connectivity to accommodate virtually any digital and analog program source. It provides eight HDMI inputs, two HDMI outputs, nine digital audio inputs, one USB audio input, six RCA and two balanced stereo analog inputs and 7.1 analog inputs. The SDP-45 offers a full complement of balanced and single-ended audio outputs and includes Ethernet and RS-232 ports, an IR input, one trigger input and three trigger outputs to facilitate seamless interfacing with other JBL Synthesis components and external control systems.
The SDP-45 is engineered to deliver the highest levels of audio and video performance, with exceptional separation, dynamic range, clarity and musical realism. It incorporates Crystal Semiconductor 24-bit/192kHz D/A converters, discrete Class A circuitry and additional refinements for superlative surround sound and stereo audio reproduction and is compatible with Dolby® TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio™ and other Dolby Digital and DTS formats. Premium components are utilized throughout and the circuitry is designed to maximize sonic purity, with refinements including separate power supplies for the analog and digital sections and a bypass mode that provides an all-analog signal path for audiophiles who want to hear the most from analog music sources.
The audio output of the SDP-45 can be precisely tailored to the listener's system and room. It provides comprehensive bass-management for all program sources and types of speaker setups, individual level and delay adjustment for each channel, Dolby Volume for evening out playback volume when desired, a selection of 2-channel DSP surround-enhancement modes and many additional features.
Although it offers extensive features and flexibility, the JBL Synthesis SDP-45 is designed for ease of setup and operation. The SDP-45 has a large graphical front panel display that shows up to four lines of text. The front panel is logically laid out and the SDP-45 is supplied with a full function remote control.
