Crestron expands business development team to meet demand for the new Crestron RL® collaboration solution

Crestron has continued the expansion of its UK-based RL team, with the appointment of Jim Fitton as Business Development Manager.

Jim joins Crestron with a wealth of experience within the AV industry. Jim's new role will solely focus on managing the rollout of Crestron RL - a comprehensive group collaboration solution that combines Crestron hardware with Microsoft Lync® software.

The RL solution is based on Microsoft Lync® 2013; a popular and powerful server-based application that thousands of companies already rely on a daily basis. The Lync®-based communication system enables video, voice and interactive content sharing from one touch screen interface. With just one press of a button, anyone can walk into a conference room and instantly start a collaboration session. In addition, Crestron RL offers the capability to integrate additional AV and environmental hardware, providing a single, unified touch screen interface for the control of audio visual, unified collaboration and environmental systems.

"Jim is going to build the awareness of our new RL solution amongst end users, consultants, IT resellers and installers," says Phil Breitschadel, UK Sales Manager at Crestron International. "With over 20 years' experience in engineering and technical roles within the AV industry, system integration and consultancy, as well as 6 years at a manufacturer, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience to this exciting new role at Crestron."

"I am thrilled to join the Crestron team," comments Jim. "Their commercial product range continues to develop and meet the requirements of UK companies and Crestron RL is a direct example of that. It is a revolutionary product and I am looking forward to educating clients on this truly unique conferencing solution."

Jim will provide support to Creston's customers and consultants through the planning and implementation of this exciting new technology.
