Gefen Expands Asian Team for Increased Local Coverage and Enhanced Customer Service

Philip Hay will cover Southeast Asia while Ashok Sharma will cover the countries of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

CHATSWORTH, CA - Digital connectivity solutions provider Gefen today announced that it has added two industry veterans to its sales and support team in Asia overseeing and operating throughout the region. Philip Hay will cover Southeast Asia while Ashok Sharma will cover the countries of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.


Philip Hay brings more than ten years experience working in the professional audio/video market. He possesses a broad knowledge of both technical and commercial products. Hay will be based in Singapore and focused on local countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and other areas.

Ashok Sharma has a vast knowledge of simulation and control room applications, which will be invaluable in expanding project-based sales in the region. After managing sales for many years, he brings many working relationships with system integrators and end users. He will be based in Mumbai and will focus on working with local partners to promote Gefen products in the region.

Led by Rod Sommerich, Far East and Pacific Rim regional sales director, the team will provide direct support to resellers and distributors and assist them with sales and support of their customers. Local Gefen training will also be included in the region with a schedule of road shows and training events to educate partners and users about the core technologies used in Gefen's vast product line. Training will be available in several formats including face-to-face and via webinar as appropriate for the users.
