Following a hugely successful CEDIA Awards - where nine of the winning projects featured Crestron kit and Crestron was voted trade supplier of the year - the company's attention now turns to its own residential award scheme: The Crestron Residential Integration Awards 2013.

The Crestron Integration Awards celebrate the achievements of the integrators, designers, and partners that have embraced Crestron solutions for residential projects. The Integration Awards will honour the year's most spectacular and innovative system designs in eight distinct categories, including: Best Integrated Home System; Brilliant Lighting Control and Design and best Marine Installation, amongst others. So with just under two months until the deadline* it's time to start completing entry forms, taking photos and making video tours of your flagship Crestron installations!

Over the next few weeks Crestron will be releasing more information on the expert panel of judges it has lined up plus a new, exciting home for the awards presentation. The winning entries will each be featured in the Crestron PR campaign and past winners have enjoyed increased coverage in both trade and consumer media, including Home Cinema Choice, Homes and Interiors and leading dailies such as The Metro, Times and Sunday Times supplements.

"Our Crestron Integration Awards showcase the very best in the industry and we are excited to see this year's projects," said Robin van Meeuwen, Vice President at Crestron International. ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
