Since the speaker, omnidirectional microphones and handset are all wireless, professionals can enjoy complete flexibility to place these components wherever they want in a room, helping them to optimize sound quality and use it in a way that best suits their needs.
With excellent acoustic echo cancellation, Aastra's new, high performance conference phone uses DECT technology between the microphones, speaker and base station, providing crystal clear sound quality and secure communications. Aastra's S850i also blocks out any mobile phone interferences.
Highly Versatile for all Conferencing Needs
With flexibility and excellent voice clarity at its core, the Aastra S850i is highly versatile: Aastra's S850i can be used as a standalone audio conference solution or can easily be connected to a video conferencing solution such as the Aastra BluStarTM for Conference Room. In addition to connecting to Aastra's video conferencing solutions, the S850i can also be the speaker and microphone for Bluetooth enabled devices (mobile phones, DECT handsets and even laptops with the BluStar for PC Client).
Private calls can be made from the handset and, using a one touch toggle, can be switched to speaker mode to enable more participants in the room to join the call.

The Aastra S850i includes a wireless speaker, two omnidirectional microphones to ensure that all participants can be heard, an easy-to-use handset with dial pad, a wireless base unit and a charger tray. A wearable microphone and a second speaker can be purchased separately to allow presenters to move freely around a room and provide even large room coverage options.
This new wireless conference phone is SIP-based, compatible with Aastra communication servers (Aastra 400 and 5000, Clearspan® and MX-ONE®) as well as other third party SIP compatible call managers.
