PROVO, Utah, April 24, 2013 -- Vivint, the largest home automation services company in North America, is providing homeowners with more security options to protect their homes and loved ones with its automated door locks.

Vivint's electronic door locks communicate wirelessly with the Vivint touchscreen panel, allowing homeowners to lock and unlock their doors from anywhere. In addition to the panel, these locks can be remotely controlled via any smartphone, tablet, or computer, allowing homeowners to exercise complete control over their homes without physically having to put a key in the door. Customers can also lock and unlock doors with a Vivint key fob.

Vivint customer Nolana Baillargeon of Calgary, Canada monitors who enters her home from the palm of her hand. "We love being able to use our phones to control our door locks," said Baillargeon. "We were able to let our cleaning lady in the house even though we weren't home because we were able to remotely open the door. We plan to set her up with her own code so she can come and go as needed."

Keypad access codes can be programmed to provide convenience for homeowners in a variety of situations, from children coming home from school to pet sitters. Vivint door locks also allow customers to assign up to 30 unique codes that are able to unlock the motorized deadbolt. Vivint customers can also customize various door codes for specific days and times, controlling who can enter their house and when.

Customers can also receive text notifications when a door is locked or unlocked, providing peace of mind for parents who want confirmation when their children reach home safely.

"The convenience my door locks provide is incredible," said Vivint customer Trevan Sherrill from Tulsa, Okla. "It's great not needing to have my keys with me to enter or even leave my house. I like that the door locks give me the ability to assign an entry code to everyone who regularly comes to my house so I know who's coming and going."
