ATEN Announces New Universal A/V to HDMI Switch with Scaler

VC1080 Provides a Flexible Video Switch to Quickly and Conveniently Convert Multiple Analog and/or Digital Audio/Video Input Signals Into HDMI Output

ATEN International, a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced connectivity solutions, today announced the availability of the VC1080, a universal A/V to HDMI switch with scaler functionality. Part of ATEN's professional A/V product line, the VC1080 offers a flexible video switch that makes it easy to convert multiple analog and/or digital audio/video input signals, including composite, component, S-video, VGA, and HDMI, into HDMI output. The VC1080 is designed for environments where multimedia devices and varied video formats (and resolutions) require output to an HDMI display, such as boardrooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, hospitality (hotel/motel rooms) and home theaters.

The VC1080 is equipped with a high-performing scaling engine that gives viewers the best picture and video quality according to the display's optimum resolution. It features a superior 3D de-interlacer function to increase image clarity through digital signal processing for smooth video playback. Additionally, the VC1080 is equipped with a next-generation color engine that automatically adjusts and enhances picture quality.

The VC1080 integrates advanced technologies for display resolution optimization. ATEN's default EDID (Extended Display Identification Information) Expert technology allows and simulates multi-resolution input and scale to the display's optimum resolution. Furthermore, Smart Video Display technology provides the capability to automatically search and match the display's best resolution.

Other features of the VC1080 include powerful OSD (on-screen display) functions for video, audio and system settings configuration.
