Firefly Design Group Announces Launch of "Pre-Engineering" Department

Design and engineering division of One Firefly LLC expands services and team.

Hollywood, FL April 04, 2013

Firefly Design Group, the premier consulting and engineering firm in the technology integration industry, today announced the launch of their "Pre-engineering" department, as well as the addition of a senior systems engineer to their team of custom electronics industry specialists.

Firefly Design Group (FDG), one of three divisions of One Firefly LLC (which also includes Firefly Programming and Firefly Creative), provides services to two market segments: business-to-business services to Home Technology Professionals, and directly with homeowners in partnership with their architect and interior designers.

The responsibilities of pre-engineering will include the review of intake documentation, the corroboration of the intake against a proposed scope of work, and then the immediate communication with the client, lead engineer and project manager. The new department was developed specifically to improve the customer experience with even more accurate engineering and markedly upgraded timeliness.

In addition to the expanded services, FDG also announced the appointment of John Hamilton as Senior Systems Engineer. Mr. Hamilton has more than 30 years' experience in professional and consumer audio industry, providing sales and technical training to a diverse domestic and international audience. Most notably, he was a technical support manager and platform product manager for Niles Audio Corporation for more than a dozen years.

"Pre-engineering is a significant advance in our documentation and communication efficiency," said Ron Callis, CEO of One Firefly. "Not every client has a method of documentation. While the Firefly Design Group has always offered a unique service in à la carte documentation, the time it took to fill in all the blanks could be frustratingly protracted. This new process cuts that client research time down at least 75%, while adding more quality control and more client touch."

John Hamilton, the new Sr. Systems Engineer, agrees. "It is critically important that detailed and accurate information is captured at the beginning of a project to insure success," he said. This new process adds an important review stage while shrinking response time. I don't know of any other organization offering this process, and I look forward to working with our clients to provide the highest level of design and documentation available."

"We anticipate a significant increase in the quality of our documentation as a result of this expansion and by bringing John Hamilton into the One Firefly family," concluded Ron. "He brings a tremendous level of technical knowledge and customer relation experience, and I know for certain that John will prove a positive addition to our team."
