CEDIA UNVEILS ENTRY DEADLINE FOR 2013 AWARDS

CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) has announced details of the critical dates for the "Oscars" of the residential custom installation industry, the 2013 CEDIA Awards.

The closing date for entries will be Friday 22 March 2013, with the winners announced at a black-tie awards ceremony to be held in June.


CEDIA has also announced two new award categories. A CEDIA Special Recognition Award will be presented to an individual who has made a valued contribution to the development of the residential custom installation industry in Region 1 (the UK, Europe, Russia and the CIS, Middle East, Africa, India and Pakistan). CEDIA will also reward installation companies and Trade Suppliers who invest in high quality showrooms for their customers with a new Best Showroom Award. These additions will bring the total number of categories in the CEDIA Awards scheme to eighteen.

Exclusively open to CEDIA member companies, the CEDIA Awards scheme celebrates technical excellence and great work within the residential custom installation sector. It includes categories for Best Media Room, Best Home Cinema and Best Integrated Home projects alongside Best Marine and Best Multiple Scheme for a Property Developer. Other areas recognised in the CEDIA Awards include Best Energy Management, Best Dressed Rack and Best Innovative Solution.

CEDIA also recognises the performance of distributors and manufacturers with its Best Training Initiative of the Year and Trade Supplier of the Year Awards.
