Vivint Named to 2012 InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators

InformationWeek 500 Is One of The Most Prestigious Business Technology Rankings In The Nation, Showcasing The Country's Most Innovative Organizations----- Only Organizations With $250 Million or More in Annual Revenue Are Invited To Participate

PROVO, Utah--Vivint™, the largest home automation services company in North America, today announced it was ranked No. 118 on the 2012 InformationWeek 500 list, one of the most prestigious rankings of innovative users of business technology.

The annual list was announced on Sept. 11 at a gala awards ceremony at the exclusive InformationWeek 500 conference at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, Calif. InformationWeek is one of the largest, most trusted information networks for IT professionals, addressing business and technology content across its many websites, magazines, and events.

Vivint ranked No. 118 on the InformationWeek 500 list for its development of the Mobile Tech Management (MTM) plan, which was launched company-wide in April 2012. MTM was devised to reduce touch points between field service technicians and Vivint's internal call center support staff, while improving efficiency and customer service responses.

After an internal review showed that one out of four Vivint sales representatives and service technicians carried two mobile devices (one for personal use and another for company use), the company launched the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) campaign and developed the MTM initiative with a coordinating app that allowed any mobile device to sync with Vivint's tech management system. The program has since increased productivity and reduced the inconvenience of carrying two devices.

MTM was designed to give field service technicians access to key customer information. Previously, field service technicians would receive scheduling and customer information details through Vivint's internal support team. Now, technicians receive full autonomy over customer calls and can access (via their mobile device) scheduling, inventory, and detailed customer account information.

The innovative mobile app/HTML5 technology was designed completely in-house and launched company-wide to all android-based smartphones simultaneously. Through the connectivity between mobile devices, all field service technicians are now fully self-sufficient.
