High Profile Broadcasters ESPN Brazil, Terra and TV Azteca Relying on Vyvx Solutions in Latin America

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Sept. 13, 2012 -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) today announced the expansion of its suite of video broadcast services, Vyvx Solutions, in Latin America. The service, which leverages Level 3's HD quality, IP fiber network, can now be contracted and managed in-region for broadcast and media customers.
Level 3's Vyvx Solutions has been a market leader in global broadcast services for more than 20 years, and now provides broadcasters, sports organizations, studios and media companies in Latin America the ability to transmit their high-quality video content within the region or to any location in the world. To date, Level 3 has signed agreements to transmit more than 35,000 hours of video over its network for companies in the region.

A number of broadcast companies in the region have recently begun using Vyvx Solutions to expand their presence in Latin America and beyond, including sports broadcaster ESPN Brazil, Terra, a global digital media company and content producer and TV Azteca, one of the largest producers of Spanish-language television programming in the world.
