Dana Innovations launches SonArray by Sonance outdoor speaker system for new market segment.

Dana Innovations, parent company of Sonance, iPort and TRUFIG has announced the release of its new SonArray by Sonance outdoor satellite and subwoofer speaker system designed for a new market segment and accessible price point.

San Clemente, CA - August 30, 2012. SonArray, which is a sub-brand to Sonance, will be sold as a package consisting of eight satellite speakers featuring a 3.5" (89mm) anodized aluminum cone and an 8" (203mm) dual voice coil underground subwoofer with brown hammertone-finished metal canopy.

SonArray presents itself as an 8-Ohm load that can be driven by a standard AV receiver or power amplifier, making it a cost-effective alternative to rock and weatherproof cabinet speakers and perfect for clients wanting to achieve high quality, evenly distributed audio in outdoor spaces of up to 2000 square feet (185 square meters). It is installed in a simple daisy-chain configuration, with the subwoofer connected to both channels.

"The uptake and success of our SLS (Sonance Landscape Series) since its release is testimony to the fact that home owners are investing more in outdoor entertaining. They want their outdoor entertainment system to deliver the same performance as they enjoy indoors." Said Ari Supran, CEO of Dana Innovations. "SonArray opens the door for another market segment to step up from basic outdoor speakers to a satellite and subwoofer system that delivers high sonic performance without hot spots or dead zones."

The SonArray Sats and Sub are hidden under plants or foliage, so the system won't compromise the aesthetics of the landscaping. And because the speakers are placed along the perimeter of the property facing inwards, sound spillover to neighbor's yards is minimized also.

SonArray will go on sale by the end of 2012 with an MSRP of $2500*

The kit allows use of the video entry phone system via a door entry monitor as well as tablets and smartphones on the Wi-Fi network, or remotely on 3G (or higher) networks. The gateway in the pack allows connection of other devices (Comelit VIP door entry monitors or PCs) besides the door entry monitor supplied. In all cases, the gateway should be connected to an ASDL router or another device guaranteeing local Wi-Fi and mobile 3G connectivity. Depending on bandwidth limitations, the gateway can serve up to 15 appliances (including door entry monitors, smartphones, tablets and PCs) with 4 simultaneous door entry monitor streams. It also allows "intercom" communication between all of the 16 devices served. For mobile devices, whenever both modes are available and enabled, the app automatically switches. .
