Capital Networks Releases Android Digital Signage Solution

In speaking with clients, we've found this solution provides them the opportunity to think on a much larger scale, when their original deployment plan may have been limited to one or two screens

Capital Networks Limited, a leading global provider of dynamic digital signage content creation and management software, has announced the release of the latest addition to the Audience software platform - Audience for Android.

Powered by the android operating system, the new Audience for Android media player and software bundle provides a high quality, low cost alternative to traditional PC based digital signage deployments.

"Due to the ease of implementation and low cost of the Audience for Android solution, we believe those new to digital signage will be less hesitant to enter the market, while existing users will enjoy the ability to expand current deployments much more economically", Jim Vair, Vice President of Business Development at Capital Networks explained. "In speaking with clients, we've found this solution provides them the opportunity to think on a much larger scale, when their original deployment plan may have been limited to one or two screens".

Along with the ability to take advantage of the advanced Audience content management system, some of the key features found within Audience for Android include:

*Real time scheduling

*Support of single and multi-zone layouts

*Full screen H.264 video playback

*Support of live data feeds

*As Run Logs for content verification

*Command and Control features for emergency messaging

*Flash and MNG animation support

"From retail signage, to corporate and campus communications, to restaurant menu boards, we feel the industry applications for this product are limitless", continued Vair. "And the fact that we have both hosted and non-hosted turnkey solutions to offer clients leaves us in a good position to provide customized digital signage solutions to fit budgets and projects both large and small".

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
