Stewart Filmscreen Announces New CIMA Screen Line and 4k+ Logo Program At InfoComm 2012

Stewart Filmscreen has been delivering screens for line pair resolutions well in excess of what 4k offers for many years, and has now created the 4k+ designation to distinguish these optimized screens-----4k resolution screen materials are available in the same array of size and framing options for maximum flexibility and enjoyment in any application setting

Torrance, CA and Las Vegas, NV (InfoComm) - June 13, 2012 - Stewart Filmscreen Corporation, industry leader in precision projection screen technologies for the residential and commercial markets, announced today their 4k+ resolution screen lineup for projectors and applications with 4k or greater resolution. For years, Stewart Filmscreen has created screens that meet or exceed the qualifications of a "4k ready" screen, but with this identification, they have now made it easier than ever to specify screens that are optimized for 4k projectors that are rapidly gaining popularity.

Supporting the detailed fields of aerospace and medicine, Stewart Filmscreen has long been producing screens that deal with line pair resolutions well above that of 4k. Stewart's proprietary production techniques produce screens with a perfectly planar surface, with flawless high resolution performance, using advanced automotive coating technology, to put each pixel in a ideal setting. Now with popular demand in the residential market for higher resolutions and 3D playback, 4k+ projection provides the ultimate viewing experience.

"We are frequently asked if Stewart filmscreens are 4k ready, and the answer has always been yes," said Grant Stewart, President, Stewart Filmscreen. "To help clear up any confusion, we have created the 4k+ logo, not only to help identify which screens are 4k ready, but to call out the optimal materials for applications in which this technology is best suited."

Stewart's existing customers have likely already been enjoying 4k+ capabilities, but the new 4k+ logo will now erase any doubt as to whether the screen is appropriate for the latest advancements in projector resolution capabilities. The wide array of 4k+ optimized screen materials makes selecting and specifying a Stewart screen for any application a much easier task, and ensures the screen quality will be optimized for HD for years to follow.

All of the screens on display at InfoComm 2012, June 13-15, Booth #N641 will be 4k+ ready including currently manufactured screens like StarGlas, CineCurve, and Silver 5D, as well as the new Mystik!, and CIMA™ by Stewart Filmscreen lines.
