For the first time, ADT Pulse customers can remotely interact with home devices via a personalized floor plan viewed on a mobile device or the web
BOCA RATON, Fla.--ADT, North America's leading provider of electronic security solutions for homes and small businesses, is now offering Home View, a new application for the company's interactive smart home product, ADT Pulse.
This additional software feature allows ADT Pulse customers to easily and quickly map a virtual floor plan of their home and then remotely monitor and interact with their ADT Pulse devices via any web enabled PC, iPhone or iPad.
"Home View allows you to monitor your home, at a glance no matter where you are," said Steve Shapiro, ADT Group Director of Product Management. "Releasing this exclusive new tool at no additional cost to all current and future ADT Pulse customers is all part of our ongoing strategy to continue adding ADT Pulse capabilities and to enhance the overall customer experience."
Once a customer sets up Home View via their personal ADT Pulse sign in page, they can view color-coded icons of their security devices, lights, thermostats and cameras. By clicking on the icons, customers can easily control their home's lighting, climate and many small appliances. And if they have cameras, customers can quickly view real time video by simply clicking the video icons. A Home View video demonstration is available at www.ADTPulse.com/Home-View.
ADT Pulse customer Kyle Luckie recently clicked on Home View to create a floor plan of his Leesburg, Ga. home. It took only minutes before he had a new way to connect with his home and control his ADT Pulse devices.
"I work long hours away from home and want to know what's happening when I'm not there," said Luckie. "With Home View, I can quickly use my mobile device to see activities like my thermostat readjusting the air conditioning unit to help save money on my monthly utility bill."
Home View is one of many complimentary upgrades for users of ADT Pulse which aims to marry life safety with lifestyle management capabilities. ADT Pulse's home monitoring and control solution helps provide the 24x7 intrusion, fire and carbon monoxide monitoring that consumers have always expected from ADT.
Launched in October 2010, ADT Pulse is leading the way in the North American market for homes and small businesses using security and automation. Today, more than one in every three home security units ADT sells is a Pulse system.
