Driving local market issues forward for future association development
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - May 10, 2012 - The future development of the UK audiovisual industry will be at the top of the agenda for InfoComm's new UK Task Force. Appointed for a year's term by the InfoComm International Board of Directors, the UK Task Force will develop, investigate, formally research and address issues affecting the UK audiovisual industry.
Greg Jeffreys, President of InfoComm International says: "The formation of the UK Task Force is a sign that the UK has got to a certain point, maturity and critical mass and we've appointed some key figures to manage and drive that growth locally."
The UK Task Force comprises a diverse mix of industry professionals, including integrators, distributors, manufacturers, end users and consultants. 2012 members include: Scott Burgess, Director, Creative Technology London; Gordon Innocent, Chairman, RGB Communications Ltd; Deborah Jones, Sales Director, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre; Sarah Joyce, HR Manager, Electrosonic, Ltd; Jim Sheach, Section Manager, Learning and Teaching Spaces Technology, University of Edinburgh; and Andrew Smith, Sales Manager, Kramer Electronics. Chairing the UK Task Force is Frank Sheehan, Director of Technology at independent media and technology consultancy, Visual Acuity.
"I'm delighted to be chairing the UK Task Force which specifically will look at how InfoComm defines its membership and how we can add value locally, in addition to the services already offered by InfoComm International which are designed to excite and benefit the industry as well as to widen its appeal to younger and new audiences," says Sheehan.
The UK Task Force participants will deliver a webinar on 23 May highlighting the task force mission, initiatives to promote involvement in a UK survey, and to answer any questions that arise.
