Exceptional 3D and 3D Impact Media will cross-market their auto-stereoscopic 3D solutions for mass-adoption of the glasses-free 3D technology.
New York, NY - The Swiss-based 3D Impact Media and Exceptional 3D, based in New York, today announced that both companies will begin cross-marketing each others technologies to enhance their 3D product portfolio. Under the agreement, 3D Impact Media, a leading software provider for glasses-free 3D solutions, will include the Exceptional 3D patented auto-stereoscopic 3D display technology with their product line offering. Similarly, Exceptional 3D will offer 3D Impact Media's software products to their client base, namely the "Reality Tools" for 2D to 3D conversion as well as the "Reality Player", an auto-stereoscopic 3D playback software.
The formation of this relationship allows 3D Impact Media to offer Exceptional 3D's patented glasses-free 3D display products, which support both no-glasses 3D and 2D digital signage capabilities. To reciprocate, Exceptional 3D will offer 3D Impact Media's RealityTools, a comprehensive tool-set for 3D post-production and conversion for glasses-based (stereoscopic) and glasses-free (auto-stereoscopic) 3D technologies.
"We are very pleased to offer 3D Impact Media's software products to our customer base in an effort to make the process of wide-spread glasses-free 3D adoption even simpler while further enhancing the overall experience," said Michael Egan, CEO for Exceptional 3D. "The Reality Tools have shown very impressive results and have proven effective in support of the conversion for existing 2D or stereoscopic 3D content into our patented glasses-free 3D format," continued Mr. Egan. "While good, cost-effective content is still the bottleneck for the auto-stereoscopic 3D industry, our aim is to remove some of those restraints."
"We are pleased to announce that our software products now support Exceptional 3D's displays. We have explored the 3D display market in depth, and we are impressed with the Exceptional 3D display quality, as well as the cost-effective business model which they are able to deliver on," said Michael Kronenberg, CEO of 3D Impact Media. "Increasing quality combined with decreasing hardware costs will further spur the glasses-free 3D market development!"
