Structured Cable Products, Inc. Produces the First Cat5e/6 Cables to Achieve HDBaseT Cable Recommendation
Leading manufacturer and supplier of low voltage cables and accessories produces the industry's first HDBaseT Recommended Cables
Structured Cable Products, Inc. (SCP), a leading manufacturer and global supplier of low voltage cable and accessories, today proudly announced that its HNCPRO and HNCPRO PLUS+ professional grade home network cables, are the first cables that have been officially recommended by HDBaseT Alliance.
Any standard LAN cable will work with HDBaseT technology, but through its Cable Recommendation Program, the HDBaseT Alliance has stepped in to help installers and consumers select LAN cables that meet the current Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) requirements and therefore work perfectly with HDBaseT devices. The HDBaseT technology standard allows integrators to easily connect all entertainment devices in a home through its 5Play™ feature set, converging uncompressed full HD digital video, audio, 100BaseT Ethernet, power over cable and various control signals through a single Cat5e/6 cable using standard RJ45 connectors.
As the first HDBaseT recommended cables, HNCPRO and HNCPROPLUS+ have demonstrated the ability to meet and exceed today's demanding HD distribution applications over UTP/STP cables, which serve as the backbone of the HDBaseT standard. The cables also provide improved signal integrity and stable electrical performance exceeding TIA/EIA requirements for Cat5e/Cat6e.
"Having the distinction of producing the first Cat5e/6 cables to achieve HDBaseT recommendation is a win -win for SCP and its customers," said David Spiller, president of Structured Cable Products. "Integrators now have access to high performance cables for HDBaseT transmission, thus providing them with a proven solution for simplifying installations and reducing costs."
"The HDBaseT Alliance Cable Recommendation Program provides cable manufacturers the opportunity to use the HDBaseT logo for their products and gives consumers a way to easily identify cables ideal for HDBaseT installations," said Micha Risling, marketing committee chair, HDBaseT Alliance. "SCP is a valued member and representative of the HDBaseT Alliance and due to support from leading companies such as SCP, HDBaseT technology is positioned to become the unrivaled next -generation home networking transport."
HDBaseT Alliance is a cross -industry alliance founded by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Valens Semiconductor to promote and standardize HDBaseT technology for whole -home distribution of uncompressed HD multimedia content.
The HDBaseT Certification Program provides HDBaseT Alliance members with a formal framework for the growing HDBaseT product ecosystem, ensuring interoperability among current and future HDBaseT products.
Structured Cable Products will provide attendees to Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2012, held January 31 -Feburary 2 in Amsterdam, the opportunity to learn more about its HDBaseT recommended cables and more by visiting booth #11F70 throughout the show.
