MuxLab Inc (www.muxlab.com), designer and manufacturer of security video and audio -video connectivity solutions for copper twisted pair, announces its latest addition to its AV connectivity portfolio…..The HDMI Passive Extender Kit (500402).

Developed for the custom residential and commercial AV market, the HDMI Passive Extender Kit allows one HDMI cable to be replaced by two (2) Cat5e/6 twisted pair cables without the need for external power. The product supports 1080p resolution up to 100ft (30m) via Cat5e cable and works with 1080p to 150 ft (45m) via Cat6 cable.

The HDMI Passive Extender incorporates unique micro -controller technology that maximizes distance when connected to 1080p Deep Color equipment for more versatile cabling.

The HDMI Passive Extender Kit is moulded around a shielded metal enclosure for more robustness, includes one Transmitter and one Receiver and comes with a two (2) year warranty. The product features built -in 8" cable leads and meets HDMI 1.4, HDMI 3D and FCC Class A standards.

The HDMI Passive Extender Kit streamlines cabling in applications such as: home theatre, digital signage, boardroom projector systems and classroom training systems. The product allows pre -existing twisted pair to be used instead of costly single -use HDMI cable, thereby allowing HDMI equipment to access the structured cabling system for greater maximum investment return.
