Accell Releases UltraCat™ HD Extenders Featuring HDBaseT Technology

UltraCat HD Extenders deliver uncompressed HD audio/video signals, Ethernet, RS232 and infrared control signals over a single Cat5e/6 cable up to 328 feet (100m)

Fremont, Calif. - Aug. 9, 2011 - Accell, a provider of premium audio/video and computer accessories, today announced the release of the latest product to join the company's innovative product lines, the UltraCat HD Extenders featuring HDMI over single Cat5e/6 with HDBaseT™ technology.


Accell's UltraCat HD, a transmitter and receiver set with HDBaseT technology, can deliver uncompressed full HD digital video, audio, 100BaseT Ethernet, RS232 and infrared control signals over a single Cat5e cable making it the ideal solution for whole home -converged distribution. The extenders are designed to support High Definition video applications, supporting all resolutions and video formats including 1080p, 4K and 3D.

The UltraCat HD Extenders featuring HDBaseT technology feature the following:

• Extends the transmission length up to 328ft. (100m)
• Supports Ethernet 100BaseTx pass -through
• HDMI v1.4 compatible and 3D video supported
• Sends control signals, including RS232 and bi -directional IR
• Fully HDCP compliant
• Built -in mounting ears for easy installation

Featuring a data transfer rate of up to 10.2Gbps, the UltraCat HD Extenders are fully HDCP compliant and compatible with the latest HDMI High Speed specification. The extenders support the CEC functionality and provide an Ethernet 10/100BaseTx pass through, which is ideal for use with IP enabled TV's and devices.
