High-quality attention to detail on flat and curved models - like piano hinge attachments, the industry's blackest masking panels and velour frames, and optional acoustically transparent masking panels - set new standards.
March 1, 2011 - - Bellingham, WA - - IMAGE Screens of Germany, manufacturer of the most sophisticated motorized masking projection screens in the world, now makes it both easier and more affordable than ever before for Custom Installers to offer their Cinema -loving customers a high -contrast MANUAL masking system for a fraction of the cost of a motorized system. Screen retail pricing starts at just over $3,500, with ground shipping included, and they are available now from StJohn Group, exclusive distributor for IMAGE Screens in North America.
Check out this photo link, explaining why Cinemascope native aspect screens and content is best:
Today more than 85% of all major motion pictures are made in Cinemascope (2.70:1 to 2.35:1) aspect ratio. Many good present -day projectors and anamorphic lens combos can provide the necessary vertical stretch to provide a constant height image and fill a native Cinemascope screen, plus with the advent of auto zooming projectors (though not able to offer as high quality an image), the video market is more than ready to meet the demand for a higher performance experience only available with Cinemascope native screens.
John Caldwell, StJohn Group's Director of Sales stated, "Full Cinemascope constant height imaging means potentially brighter images, wider and more immersive images, and higher resolution images. Custom installers will be able to immediately differentiate their business and expertise from big box stores when they show and sell cinema -based technology as reflected in Cadre Masque Screens by Image Screens, rather than TV -based technology. While projector technology will improve and a customer may replace a projector every few years, the projection screen should be the absolute best it can be regardless of the projector technology, so qualifying their customers for the right projection screen is essential."
Four luxurious black velour configurations of the Manual Masque screens are available now from IMAGE Screens' North American distributor, StJohn Group: the Cadre No. 1 Flat and Cadre No. 1 Curved Manual Masque screens, which feature a black velour, 3.15" radiused frame, and the Cadre Light and Cadre Light Curved Manual Masque screens, featuring a black velour 2.17" radiused frame. IMAGE offers the blackest masking panels and velour frame borders available anywhere.
High -quality piano hinges on masking panels mean quiet, secure manual operation (see photo at right).
Native Cinemascope screens are available in viewable screen widths up to 196" (16.3 feet) and have side panels that mask to 1.78:1 aspect ratio. Deep black masking panels assure a higher perceived contrast ratio and can be ordered acoustically transparent for customers who want to position speakers behind the screen. Available screen fabrics include numerous varieties of solid vinyl and five varieties of acoustically transparent screen material, including several 3D options.
For curved screens, IMAGE will custom curve any screen to the exact customer projector and lens configuration.
