OMNIMOUNT: THERE'S A MOUNT FOR THAT

The company's latest offering is a universal iPad and eReader stand that gives users a hands-free option for their multimedia devices.

Las Vegas, NV - 2011 International CES - January 6 - 9, 2011 - Booth # 21260 - OmniMount, the global leader in consumer and commercial A/V mounting and furniture solutions, is making a bold statement: "There's an OmniMount for that." In the same way that Apple promises the public that there's an app for every need, OmniMount asserts that they make a mount for every A/V application as they announce the launch of their newest product, the IES1, a universal iPad and eReader stand. As a leading manufacturer in the consumer electronics accessories category for more than 30 years, OmniMount takes pride in being known for developing solutions whenever a need to mount something in the audio/video arena arises. With the explosion of the iPad/eReader market, the company's position is that it's only natural that a line of products exists to support this emerging technology.

While a series of custom products for this category are being finalized for a Q1 2011 launch, OmniMount started shipping the IES1 iPad/eReader stand at the end of last year, in time for the holiday buying season. With the IES1, users can display their iPad or eReader on a stand, or attach it to a wall mount or desktop mount, giving them a hands -free option to use their device. Other than just freeing up space and reducing clutter, the key benefit to this product is that it props iPads and eReaders up into usable view on a counter, desk or nightstand, safely securing these expensive devices for comfortable use in a kitchen, office or bedroom.

"OmniMount has always been known for innovating products that complement the trends in consumer electronics, so creating a fashionable and functional accessory line to support these new technologies just makes sense," said Alex Robertson, the senior vice president of sales and marketing for OmniMount.

The IES1 was designed specifically for Apple's iPad and Amazon's Kindle, but it will support any multimedia device up to 9.9" wide. Users can rotate their device from portrait to landscape easily, without removing it from the stand, then lock it in place in either position. A small but key feature that was integrated during the R&D stage is the rubber grips that line the arms, protecting the device from scratches as its secured in place. The IES1 was designed to allow full access to the entire screen, power button and charging port while mounted, and also has a wire pass -through that keeps the look clean if a user is charging their device. As an added bonus, the mount plate easily detaches from the stand and can fasten to any wall or table mount with a compatible VESA 100x100 mounting pattern. Of course, just like many of the other mounting solutions in OmniMount's latest repertoire: its sleek, anodized finish was meant to be as stylish as the technology it supports.

The OmniMount IES1 is the most universal and functional iPad/eReader stand available on the market to date. The award -winning design team at OmniMount is confident that this product assures the company's role as a major player in the iPad/eReader accessory market and urges the industry to stay tuned for a complete line that will be introduced in early 2011. The IES1 is available now.
