Home Technology Specialists of America Announces Annual Vendor Award Winners

Panasonic, Lutron Electronics, Savant Systems, AudioQuest, Sony, Sonance Visual Performance, and Universal Remote Control are recognized for their efforts in 2010

CHESTER SPRINGS, Pa. -December 27, 2010 - Normal 0 Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA), a buying group comprised of the country's most experienced and knowledgeable custom retailers and system integrators, announced today its annual Vendor of the Year awards, showcasing the positive contributions that supported HTSA members and the consumer electronics industry during this calendar year. This is the eighth consecutive year that HTSA has presented the awards at the Normal 0 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) (CES).

Vendor of the Year
Panasonic was the winner in this overall category for 2010. Panasonic hit the ground running and delivered outstanding product margins. The company went above and beyond to create a program that all could embrace, making them the deserving recipient of the 2010 Vendor of the Year award.

Custom Vendor of the Year
Normal 0 Lutron Electronics earned the Custom Vendor of the Year award for its ability to consistently manufacture and integrate high -quality lighting systems. The cumulative effect of great training, bulletproof product, and serious in -field representation allowed this company to achieve our finest award in this category.
Highest Percentage Growth in 2010
Normal 0 Savant Systems grew its business with HTSA by a whopping 586 percent versus the previous year. More clients and members adopted the Normal 0 Apple -based platform and the success has been phenomenal. Savant achieved this growth through its exceptional service, training, and an innovative approach to providing the industry's only Apple -based home control and automation solution. This product allows consumers to control every aspect of their home electronics from their iPad or iPhone.
Most Profitable Vendor
HTSA honored Normal 0 AudioQuest as the recipient of this year's award. AudioQuest specializes in the production and installation of high -performance audio, video, and power cables. High performance cables at high margins helped AudioQuest garner this award.
Most Supportive
Normal 0 Sony was honored with this year's Most Supportive award. The company not only offers an incredibly diverse product line, but they also deliver a profound knowledge of the industry and a kind, gentle approach to customer service. Sony has worked to improve all aspects of its customer support, including Tech -Data delivery, management direction, and field service.
Product of the Year
Panasonic has been recognized twice in this year's Vendor Awards, once for Vendor of the Year, and again for Product of the Year. Man of the Year
2010 proved to be a great year for Jim Sanduski. Not only was he named the new Senior Vice President of Sales for Panasonic, but he was also voted as Man of the Year by his HTSA peers.
