Following the success of the inaugural 2010 event, CEDIA Asia Pacific (AP) has announced that the second CEDIA New Zealand Expo will take place at Auckland's SKYCITY Convention Centre on 17-18 May 2011.

Following the success of the inaugural 2010 event, CEDIA Asia Pacific (AP) has announced that the second CEDIA New Zealand Expo will take place at Auckland's SKYCITY Convention Centre on 17 -18 May 2011.

The CEDIA NZ Expo will be the only dedicated industry trade event for New Zealand's growing number of electronic systems professionals in 2011. It will provide a focus on new products and systems for the residential CI sector, covering the latest in residential whole home audio and hi -end hi -fi, home cinema, TV and video distribution, lighting, HVAC and security control, data networking and electronic systems integration. CEDIA will support the show with an extensive "Knowledge -Based. Profit -Focussed" education programme.
Organised by CEDIA, the NZ Expo will be developed with input, advice and direction provided by Soundline's Terry Wyatt, Chair of the CEDIA NZ committee and Expo committee member Brendon Reid from Auckland -based installer, Automation Associates. This will ensure the event meets the specific needs of the industry in New Zealand.
"After the extraordinary success of the debut show earlier this year, we're delighted to confirm the dates for the 2011 event" says CEDIA AP Executive Director, Stephen Miller. "We'll be back in a larger venue that's real close to Auckland's international airport with great access to the country's major regional and national transport links. With our plans to broaden the education content of the show to include more CEDIA courses and training sessions from manufacturers, it promises to be a bigger and better 2nd CEDIA Expo for the expanding NZ market".
The event is scheduled once again to follow the annual CEDIA Expo in Australia (11 -13 May, Sydney). This will ease logistics, keep costs down and maximise the opportunities for exhibitors to participate. Held in June 2010, the first CEDIA NZ Expo attracted more than 20 exhibitors and over 330 attendees. This announcement marks CEDIA's commitment to raising standards and growing the industry across the Asia Pacific region using trade shows, education and networking events as the main drivers.
