Yitran to Feature IT900 DCSK Turbo 500Kbps and First 1Mbps OFDM PLC Modem for Smart Grid

Yitran Communications, a leading and award winning fabless semiconductor company, will feature its new line of Powerline Communications (PLC) integrated circuits at Metering and Billing/CRM Europe in Vienna, September 22-24, Booth K37.

Yitran brings the latest PLC solutions to market in order to meet the global demand of PLC for various Smart Grid initiatives around the world. Since different requirements are defined according to territories, Yitran's IT900 and IT1000 complies with worldwide regulations and are preferred due to their high reliability and plug -and -play total networking solution for AMR/AMM/AMI.

Yitran's IT900 DCSK Turbo IC is the next generation of IT700 Powerline Communication networking with speeds of up to 500 Kbps and support for SE 1.0, SE 2.0, IPv4 and IPv6. IT900 is the first fully integrated PLC modem and application solution on a single chip to feature DCSK Turbo speed and robustness.

Yitran's new IT1000 OFDM -Flex product line is based on flexible architecture that includes DSP implementation of the modem to comply with emerging standards such as G.hnem, Prime, G3 and others. Over a decade of experience in the PLC narrowband market, and a superior understanding of the power line low frequency channel, has established Yitran as best able to offer also an OFDM PLC solution.. The OFDM platform will be demonstrated for the first time at the coming Metering event.

More than 1000 customers are currently using Yitran's IT700 technology for AMR/AMM/AMI, load shift, street light control, solar panel control and monitoring, in home/building energy management, smart home applications including white goods appliances, high/mid voltage monitoring as well as other control applications.
