Richard Schnell named Vice President of Finance and Vipul Doshi named Vice President of Operations.

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, July 20, 2010 - Moving strategically to strengthen its senior management team, The AVC Group, LLC ( ), formerly the Linear Audio Video Control Group, today announced a series of appointments designed to position the company for long -term worldwide sales growth. All of the appointments were announced by The AVC Group, LLC President Mark Terry and are effective immediately.

According to Terry, Bob Farinelli, President of ELAN® Home systems, has now become Chief Technology Officer of The AVC Group, succeeded by Paul Starkey, who now becomes President of the ELAN brand. At the same time, Mike Detmer has been promoted to President of the Niles® brand, filling the vacancy created when Frank Stearns retired. Graham Hallett continues to serve as President of the Xantech® brand. Completing the new senior management team are Richard Schnell, who becomes Vice President of Finance, and Vipul Doshi, who assumes the position of Vice President of Operations.

Richard Schnell, CPA comes to The AVC Group from Nortek subsidiary SpeakerCraft, LLC, where he also served as Vice President of Finance from 2004, responsible for all administrative activities. Before this, he served as Controller at Linear Corporation from 1999 to 2004. Other experience includes senior financial management positions at Dane -Elec Corporation, SmartFlex Systems, Fujitsu International Computers Limited, Quintec Interconnect Systems, and ITT Corporation. In his 30 years of experience, Richard Schnell has managed global operations for a number of leading multi -national companies and has extensive direct experience working in Mexico, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China.

Richard Schnell received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma State University in 1977 and an MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1978.
Vipul Doshi comes to The AVC Group from Niles Audio Corporation, where he held the position of Vice President of Operations. An executive leader with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing manufacturing strategies, worldwide procurement and fulfillment, as well as product cost, quality, and delivery, Vipul has also served as Senior Manager of Strategic Partner Management at Vizio, Inc., Director of Engineering (Program Management and Manufacturing) at the Kinpo Group/Calcomp Electronics, and Senior Program Manager at Hewlett Packard Company.

Vipul Doshi received a Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute at the University of Bombay in Mumbai, India. Vipul has served as a senior member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers, an associate member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and an advisor of the Tau Alpha Pi National Honor Society.
