Crestron Expands Rockleigh Experience Center, Adds Complete Hospitality Solutions Suite

Crestron Experience Center Now Provides Fully Functioning Hospitality Room Solutions for Integrators and Hoteliers

ROCKLEIGH, NJ, April 8, 2010 - Crestron today announced the expansion of its state -of -the -art Experience Center at the Rockleigh, NJ world headquarters, adding a complete interactive room dedicated to demonstrating its hospitality technology solutions. The elegantly appointed facility opened to much industry fanfare in October, 2009, and has proven wildly successful as a destination for integrators, architects and designers to introduce clients to Crestron, collaborate with system designers, and experience Crestron innovations in functioning application environments.

Due to its early success assisting dealers and consultants in closing more new business quickly, the company expanded the experience center to include a separate, fully functioning hospitality suite, showcasing its room automation solutions for hotels, resorts and casinos. The fully -integrated hospitality environment demonstrates and educates integrators and hoteliers on the latest cutting -edge Crestron hotel room automation and control technology.

The interactive suite allows dealers and prospective customers to operate and experience Crestron Welcome, Crestron Dominion and Crestron Habitat, technology solutions that completely automate hotel rooms, from standard and deluxe rooms, to luxury suites.

All room systems are integrated and operate just as they would in a hotel environment, allowing guests to use Crestron keypads and touchpanels to experience the options available for wireless lighting and climate control, demonstrating how vacancy sensors can be used to save energy and reduce costs, and controlling room entertainment including audio and video distribution systems.

For more than 20 years Crestron has served the hospitality industry around the world, with its technology installed in nearly every hotel, resort and casino in Las Vegas, Macau and Dubai. Crestron room and AV control, building control, and enterprise management technology is implemented in the public areas, restaurants, and conference rooms of prestigious properties such as the MGM Grand (Las Vegas, Detroit, Foxwoods and Macau), Wynn Hotel & Casino, CityCenter, Venetian Hotel & Casino, Mandalay Bay and many others.

Visitors to the center can also experience advanced solutions for conference rooms, AV presentations, and even complete building control technology in the cutting edge multimedia presentation room, digital boardroom, Theo Kalomirakis Home Theater and the expansive interactive design lab.

The fully -immersive center averages five groups of visitors daily, and is also used for frequent customer appreciation events, trainings, client parties, and other business/collaboration purposes. With the addition of the hospitality suite, the experience center now provides nearly 9,000 square feet of interactive technology environments to guests, and features more than 500 connected Crestron products on display.

At their leisure, clients can peruse, compare and evaluate working, fully programmed entertainment systems, touchpanels and remote controls, lighting and HVAC systems. The entire facility has a digital infrastructure, fully wired with Crestron's revolutionary DigitalMedia™ (DM) Cable and DM components installed throughout, allowing visitors to experience the only end -to -end digital solution available today.

Private and group tours of the Crestron Experience Center can be conveniently scheduled by contacting a Crestron dealer or Crestron sales representative.

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
