Tributaries® New HDMI IR Transmitter and Receiver

Tributaries introduces the HXC6IR, a two-part system extending HDMI signal via the source's IR signal over dual CAT6 cables.

Orlando, Florida -March 26, 2010 -Tributaries®, the leader in value -high -end connectivity for home, professional A/V systems and custom installations, introduces the HXC6IR, a two -part system extending HDMI signal via the source's IR signal over dual CAT6 cables.


The HXC6IR provides a simple digital solution for sending an HDMI signal over distances of up to 45 meters (148 feet) with virtually no signal degradation. Simply place the transmitter next to the HDTV source with the receiver in close proximity to the display; the HXC6 requires a double run of standard CAT6 network cabling (CAT5E can be substituted however the max resolution is limited to 1080p/8 -bit color). The HXC6 transmitter and receiver system uses digital signal processing to ensure full hi -definition signal integrity for all video formats up to and including 1080p, and is compliant with HDMI v1.3, HDCP 1.1, and DVI 1.1.

The HXC6IR is packaged as a complete, ready -to -connect system that includes a compact transmitter (source -end) and receiver (destination -end), and two 5 -volt power supplies with several power adapters, making it suitable for worldwide use.

For installations that require additional space, the HXC6R Repeater can be used to double the maximum distance. The passive device is easily inserted at the end of the first dual -run of CAT6 cable from the HXC6R transmitter. The Repeater supports all the features of the HCX6 for seamless integration.
