New Low -Cost VidaBox ThinClientHD™ Media Extender Streams 1080p Blu -ray, DVDs, & More in a 38mm Thin Design

VidaBox, LLC is launching the ThinClientHD, a new low-cost Blu-ray media extender. ThinClientHD extenders can pull Blu-ray, DVD, music, photos, & other digital media over IP through CAT5, then display the content on any HDTV or projector via HDMI.

Amsterdam, NL - ISE 2010 - February 2nd - Booth 1I27 - VidaBox, LLC is launching the ThinClientHD™, a new low -cost Blu -ray media extender. Working natively with VidaBox media centers and servers, ThinClientHD™ extenders can pull Blu -ray, DVD, music, photos, and other digital media over IP through a single CAT5 cable, then display the content on any HDTV or projector via HDMI.

"The low cost, light -weight, and small size of the ThinClientHD™ makes it the perfect complement to any VidaBox server," exclaims Steven Cheung, President of VidaBox, LLC. "It comes with its own VESA mounting bracket, and at less than 38mm or 1.5" thin, it can be mounted behind an HDTV, hidden above a projector, or installed virtually anywhere. Best of all, even though it's 43% less in cost compared to our older lines of Blu -ray extenders, the ThinClientHD™ doesn't make any sacrifices in core features."

The only common feature missing on a ThinClientHD™ is an optical drive, but for those who want disc archival and playback, an optional ThinDisc™ drive can be added at anytime. By adding a ThinDisc™ for DVDs or a ThinDiscHD™ for Blu -ray, discs can be played back directly on the ThinClientHD™, or be archived back onto the main server. At only .81" (21mm) thin, ThinDisc™ drives can be easily mounted with Velcro® and tucked away right next to the ThinClientHD™. Combined with near -silent operation of less than 25 dBA, ThinClientHD™ is suitable for in -room or any other type of installation environment.
"Like the RoomClientHD™ and our older extender models, the ThinClientHD™ also runs Windows 7," continues Cheung. "You'll get the same on -screen interface and familiar features like Blu -ray, DVD, and CD cataloging by cover or album art, Netflix & IPTV streaming, and 1 -touch picture slideshows, while new features like iTunes® Plus music support are now available. Combined with its ultra -compact size, small footprint, and low cost, integrators can install ThinClientHD™ units in any location needing AV distribution, and connect it back to the main server over a single CAT cable. No other system can provide these many features at this size or cost, while still giving integrators a generous margin."

The ThinClientHD™ is shipping and available now for all VidaBox dealers. Comelit - VIP Kit With Planux Monitor With WIFI/3G/4G Remote APP - 8512IM

The kit allows use of the video entry phone system via a door entry monitor as well as tablets and smartphones on the Wi-Fi network, or remotely on 3G (or higher) networks. The gateway in the pack allows connection of other devices (Comelit VIP door entry monitors or PCs) besides the door entry monitor supplied. In all cases, the gateway should be connected to an ASDL router or another device guaranteeing local Wi-Fi and mobile 3G connectivity. Depending on bandwidth limitations, the gateway can serve up to 15 appliances (including door entry monitors, smartphones, tablets and PCs) with 4 simultaneous door entry monitor streams. It also allows "intercom" communication between all of the 16 devices served. For mobile devices, whenever both modes are available and enabled, the app automatically switches. .
