2010 Storage Visions to Increase Visibility of Junk -A -Juke Program

Storage Industry Pioneers support use of eCycled hardware to feed kids and save the Earth

Ottawa, Canada - December 28, 2009 - KOM Networks™, world leading provider of storage management solutions for secure archiving compliant data protection and retention, today announced that the 2010 Storage Visions Conference is partnering with KOM to educate IT professionals about an innovative storage hardware recycling program to benefit Feed The Children.

The Junk -A -Juke program will keep end -of -life (or just old) computer storage systems out of landfills and use recycled materials to do something big for someone small. KOM and its recycling partner, the Technology Conservation Group (TCG) will pick up and track each piece of equipment through destruction to ensure that nothing ends up in a landfill. In exchange for the older equipment, KOM offers a new Dell Powered KOMpliance Archive with equal capacity and superior performance, a fully compliant enterprise class server and archive solution free -of -charge, with a three year maintenance agreement. KOM's goal is to collect and recycle enough hardware to feed one million children.

The Ninth Annual Storage Visions Conference held at the Riviera Hotel Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV on January 5 & 6 provides valuable educational sessions on professional media and entertainment, consumer electronics, computer applications and storage, including new content distribution technologies and personal storage. The show is organized by Coughlin Associates. For more information on the 2010 Storage Visions Conference please visitwww.storagevisions.com. Registration for the conference and exhibits is available at the door.

"With older storage systems being difficult to dispose of, KOM is taking a problem area and using it to do something truly philanthropic - they are making lemonade," said Tom Coughlin, President of Coughlin Associates. "Storage Visions is the ideal forum to target the storage industry decision makers. We are more than happy to serve lemonade for such a worthwhile cause."

Charitable giving fell last year by the largest percentage in five decades, according to a study by the Giving USA Foundation. With this program, KOM is making it effortless to responsibly discard obsolete hardware and help feed many of the twelve million North American children who are today at risk of going hungry.
