Morgan Hill, CA (December 3, 2009) - Velodyne Acoustics, Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of powered subwoofers for home theater and consumer audio, was selected to provide subwoofers for Crestron's new state -of -the -art, multi -million dollar interactive center located at its world headquarters in Rockleigh, NJ. A total of eight Velodyne subwoofers were installed in the Theo Kalomirakis Home Theater including two from the Digital Drive® Series and six from the SubContractor® Series.

The dual DD -18 servo -controlled subwoofers are from the award -winning Digital Drive series and feature a unique built -in, 9 -band room equalization system with on -screen video display. Digital Drive subwoofers are universally acknowledged as the reference standard in bass reproduction. The SC -IW (In -Wall) subwoofers, with matching SC -1250 amps from the SubContractor Series produce deep, powerful bass with minimal wall vibration thanks to a patented T -shaped driver that fires vertically in the wall. All of the selected subwoofers feature Velodyne's patented 97% efficient "ERS" Class D amplifier that generates 3000 watts dynamic power and is 100% DSP controlled.

"Velodyne was specifically chosen for our home theater because their subwoofers provide the best bass and they achieve everything we wanted in terms of performance," said Dominick Accurso, Integrated Partner Program Manager for Crestron. "By incorporating Velodyne subs into our home theater, our customers will experience an incredible audio performance."

"We are excited to be included in the Crestron Experience Center," said Bruce Hall, president of Velodyne.
