AUDIO EXPO OF NORTH AMERICA (AXPONA) Announces Progress Toward Full House for Debut Event

With Exhibitor List Growing and Space Going, New Stereophile-Sponsored Consumer Audio Show Upgrades Web Site and Tunes in Social Media

JACKSONVILLE, FL, Oct. 26, 2009 - AUDIO EXPO OF NORTH AMERICA (AXPONA), an important, emerging forum for showcasing the newest in audio products and technologies, equipment and supporting media, has announced significant progress toward its inaugural event March 5 -7, 2010, at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk Hotel in Jacksonville, FL.


Recent developments in organizing the Stereophile magazine -sponsored includes a surge in new commitments from audio/video dealers, manufacturers and distributors to exhibit their high -performance products and brands. This represents an increase this week of 20 high -end brands to the total on display. With the number of exhibitors growing, the prime exhibit space is going. While sufficient standard suites continue to be available on the second and third floors of the Riverwalk Hotel, many of the 18 large and very large Conference Room suites on the main convention level have been signed.

In addition, AXPONA has upgraded its Web site at www.AXPONA.com. Most noticeable are the new links to key social media, including Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, allowing users to include AXPONA images and information on their social home pages and easily share the details, including their own plans, with friends and colleagues.

AXPONA President Andrew Spaulding described the event as "the show of the future," and indicated some of its advantages. "First of all, virtually every audio/video dealer within 500 miles should be at the show because AXPONA will deliver thousands of interested participants to their booths or rooms," said Spaulding.

He also cited AXPONA's value: "The show's cost to exhibitors will be up to 25 percent less than any other show," he said, adding "there are no charges for drayage or removing furniture from the exhibit rooms," two sources of significant savings to exhibitors.

AXPONA is the first show of its kind on the East Coast in several years. It will focus on high -end playback equipment, related products, and the media that support them. Consumers will be able to mingle with the industry's top manufacturers and retailers, while enjoying live demonstrations of equipment and software. "Audio enthusiasts," said Spaulding, "will be able to see hundreds of products and brands, listen to many, speak directly to manufacturers, and learn about the latest technologies, especially ones for downloads, storage, playback and mobile applications."

Other AXPONA highlights will include audio recording demonstrations, musical performances, and seminars featuring top names in the industry, and a pre -show golf tournament teaming manufacturers against editors and writers.
