Yitran Communications Ltd. is pleased to announce the next generation in PLC ICs, DCSK Turbo (IT900), has exceeded its initial goal of 150Kbps to reach speeds of up to 500Kbps.
IT900 will feature a full protocol stack to meet the demands of Smart Grid, AMR/AMM/AMI and Home/Building Automation and will provide more than 40 times greater throughput than the IT800/IT700 series and twice the speed of ZigBee (802.15.4), using Yitran's highly robust DCSK Turbo modulation technology.
Yitran's leadership in PLC began with IT800 (7.5Kbps), which was selected by HomePlug as the baseline technology for the HomePlug C&C open standard. Yitran's goal is to establish the new IT900 as an extension to HomePlug C&C standard as an open specification.
Yitran currently offers the HomePlug C&C -ready IT700 PLC controller, which features an 8051 MCU core for a high level of code efficiency and high speed operation. IT700 complies with worldwide regulations (FCC, ARIB and CENELEC) and is fully interoperable with IT800. IT700 is currently being deployed in AMR, Smart Home, Smart Grid, Street Light Control, Solar Panel Control and Commercial Automation applications.
