Rotel bows two new value engineered stereo components

For nearly fifty years, home audio electronics manufacturer Rotel has been known worldwide for creating components that deliver serious audio and video performance at affordable prices.

North Reading, MA -September 2009 -For nearly fifty years, home audio electronics manufacturer Rotel has been known worldwide for creating components that deliver serious audio and video performance at affordable prices. Rotel is now proud to unveil two new audio components to the new 15 Series that provide exceptional value and performance. The RA -05SE Integrated Amplifier and Rotel RCD -06SE CD Player will make their debut at CEDIA Expo 2009.

Previously introduced in Europe, these components have become an enduring staple to many audio enthusiasts and we are now bringing them to the U.S. due to North America's interest in affordable performance stereo systems. The combination of understated appearance, compact size and surprisingly powerful sound has earned these models critical praise and commercial success.

"While the 15 Series is clearly Rotel's flagship line and most important introduction in many years," says Rotel VP of Sales & Marketing, Doug Henderson, we believed there was a niche market we were missing for the entry -level audio enthusiast. This customer doesn't want a lot of frills but they do want very good performance from easy to use components."

Rotel RA -05SE Integrated Amplifier
The affordably priced RA -05SE integrated amplifier shares much of its design heritage with the flagship 15 series from Rotel. Understanding well that small design changes can make a big difference Rotel has taken no shortcuts in the design where sound quality is concerned and the company has spent time tuning, upgrading, and selecting the finest components for an impressive performance. The RA -05SE utilizes a custom -made toroidal transformer and delivers 40 watts per channel of high quality power (20 -20kHz, < 0.03%, 8ohms).

Rotel RCD -06SE CD Player
The RCD -06SE CD player is the result of extensive research and development that is part of Rotel's new flagship 15 Series. This includes the replacement of the original Burr Brown DAC with a new higher performing model from Wolfson. Key components and circuits to support this new DAC have also been upgraded. These include selected components for both filter and buffer stages, precision resistors used in the input circuits, low -noise resistor feeds to the DAC, and selected input and output coupling capacitors. All of which adds up to a level of CD playback associated with far more costly designs.
