The ABD -W5 is an A -BUS industry first for on wall active speaker technology

Rosebery, NSW Australia Wednesday, 15 July 2009 ~~ CEDIA AUS Premier and A -BUS First~~ Forté launches the ABD -W5, A -BUS/DIRECT WALL, an active + passive pair of speakers with its high powered learning remote keypad and wall cradle, making it a huge success for both outdoor and indoor use.

The introduction of the new 5.25" A -BUS/DIRECT WALL digitally, amplified loudspeaker will even further expand the A -BUS family of multi -room audio, greatly simplifying installation and reducing overall cost. "A -BUS/DIRECT provides a proper amplifier dampening, giving a tighter cleaner bass response and maximum efficiency by locating the amplifier at the speaker - a most exciting feature" states Andrew Goldfinch, founder of LeisureTech Electronics and co -inventor of the A -BUS technology. "Requiring only a single Cat5 from the hub or A -BUS/READY receiver to the active speaker, it eliminates the need of long runs of speaker cable ensuring the delivery of high quality audio signal is optimized."

A -BUS Now Goes Outdoors
The speakers are fully weather and UV resistant providing a superb installation for outdoor alfresco entertaining. Outdoor active speakers require the ultimate user control in sunlight and Forté with its recent release of the high powered emitter (38k & 56kHz) in the ABR -43 learning remote keypad (supplied), exceeds all expectations for outdoor use. Only A -BUS with its simplistic, plug -n -play approach provides a wall cradled, keypad mounted at the kitchen light switch, or when used as a hand held remote, can stick to a fridge (magnetised) then taken outdoors for complete fingertip control directly to the speaker. It can learn up to 5 functions from 4 remotes which are ideal for a bedroom to control TV, DVD, air -con and blinds. It includes standard A -BUS control commands with additional keys so you can learn source commands such as play, stop track, advance and preset up/down. The easy learning facility will allow consumers to do their own set up to suit their individual requirements.

Also for Australian houses, A -BUS/DIRECT WALL is a simple solution for indoor wall mounted speakers where both ceiling and wall cavities aren't available. Only 155 x 240 x 190mm the speakers will hide in any corner and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.

A -BUS/DIRECT WALL, like the A -BUS/DIRECT CEILING speaker has an IR window on the grille for full A -BUS controls and IR pass through, a fixed 3m Cat5 cable and RJ -45 input, and a 5m 16 - gauge speaker cable to connect to the passive speaker. This provides instant retrofit applications for any custom installer or DIY with an existing A -BUS system.

The ABD -W5 can be purchased through LeisureTech Electronics and is available for viewing on stand 285 at CEDIA AUS 2009.
