New from Aurora Multimedia at InfoComm 09:
CLASSPAC™ Turnkey Classroom Audio/Video System
Debuting at InfoComm 09, CLASSPAC™ provides preconfigured multimedia systems designed for classroom audio, video, and control integration. By combining solutions from various manufacturers, CLASSPAC simplifies ordering, speeds installations, and offers highly competitive pricing. Sold as total A/V systems, the CLASSPAC solution eliminates the time -consuming task of contacting multiple manufacturers in search of products that may or may not be compatible with each other, in turn providing integrators with a prepackaged, easy -to -install system for any size of classroom.
Spearheading the effort is Aurora Multimedia, offering the WACI (Web Accessible Control Interface) control system with a touch screen or button interface as part of the CLASSPAC control option. Additionally, CLASSPAC base systems include CAT5 input wall plates, a wireless microphone, an audio amplifier, speakers, cables, a digital projector, and a display mount. Furthermore, enhanced CLASSPAC systems may include options from a variety of partner manufacturers ranging from displays, projectors, and projection screens to lighting controls, thermostats, audio and video playback devices, and mounts.
All of these products are tested during a certification process for connectivity, operation, communication, and out -of -the -box interoperability among all components in the system. Along with Aurora Multimedia, CLASSPAC partners currently include OWI Inc., WolfVision, Dimonoff, Draper Inc., and Premier Mounts. The CLASSPAC partner program has been designed to promote interoperability and provide integrators with a simple A/V solution to service the education market.
Configuring a CLASSPAC system is quite straightforward via simple drop -down menus. The configuration tool on the CLASSPAC Web site allows systems of all complexities to be designed with great ease. A specific CLASSPAC part number designates a complete list of system components, and these part numbers can then be used for specifications, to establish design budgets, and for future project planning.

WACI NX -22 and WACI NX -44 Central Control Processors
The WACI NX -22 and WACI NX -44 are the first of Aurora Multimedia's next -generation Web Accessible Control Interface (WACI) control processors to offer integrated Bluetooth microphone capability for voice -lift applications. The units' additional features include a built -in audio player with volume control to enable internal audio mixing management, voice over IP, and intercom and paging systems, with speech command recognition coming soon. The WACI NX -22 provides two serial, IR, relay, and I/O ports, while the WACI NX -44 offers four of each.
These powerful, non -proprietary IP control systems offer a native network that can operate seamlessly and simply via an Ethernet connection. The WACI serves as the "ambassador" between the Ethernet and intelligent electronics. The systems are accessible through any Web browser running on a wired or wireless Ethernet network, and they require no special software. Both WACI NX processors are set up using standard Web -authoring tools, and numerous RS -232/422/485, IR, relay, and DSP control ports are available with a robust internal IR learner being standard.
The WACI NX -22 and NX -44 may complement the needs of a basic A/V system or can be the heart of a complex, networked, worldwide asset management and control system. Each WACI unit contains its own resources, preventing slow performance and bottlenecks caused by shared systems. Each offers a wide range of OS compatibility for truly platform -agnostic operation, and internal server -side operation means that no dedicated server is required and no special applications need to be installed on the PC to access the WACI control system.

DIDO LT Video Wall Processor
Aurora Multimedia will introduce the cost -effective DIDO LT video wall processor at InfoComm 09. With the DIDO LT, integrators can design video walls utilizing up to 64 monitors that display exceptional picture quality. On -screen display menus make the processor a breeze to set up, and input and output resolutions are completely customizable to match the displays' optimal resolutions. User presets allow for simple manipulation of the video wall.
The image enhancing capabilities of the DIDO LT include motion adaptive de -interlacing, low -angle directional interpolation, 3:2 and 2:2 inverse pull -down, color correction, flesh tone adjustments, and image zoom and shrink. An internal event scheduler with real -time clock allows AARE special effects to be scheduled locally and between DIDO units when connected via the RS -485 bus. For flexible installation options, the DIDO LT's small size allows it to be mounted behind the display.
NXT -700 Next -Generation Touch Panel Controller
The NXT -700 is a revolutionary development that integrates a control system processor with various ports into a Web -based touch screen controller. The extremely versatile hybrid combines a spectacular 7 -inch widescreen touch panel display with a fully loaded 32 -bit 900 -MIPS WACI engine. Expansion modules such as Aurora Multimedia's WACI PODs and WACI Nuggets can be connected to the NXT -700 to provide additional serial, IR, relay, and I/O ports if required. Overall, the NXT -700 simplifies and reduces the cost of any install while providing state -of -the -art control features and performance.
WACI Touch - Touch Panel Controller
The WACI Touch is a low -cost touch panel interface with an engine based on the WACI PAD button -only keypad controllers. Offering the same functionality as Aurora Multimedia's WACI PADs, the WACI Touch features a 2.8 -inch touch screen display and can control all aspects of a WACI control system.
WACI Distributed Server
The WACI Distributed Server consists of a hardware server embedded with software that enables network -wide management of all WACI devices. This server is able to detect and set up all resident WACI control processors, PODs, PADs, and Nuggets for remote administrative control of the entire control network.
WOWE WACI Offline Windows® Editor
Aurora Multimedia's WACI NX processors manage the most powerful aspects of any high -end control systems via a built -in Event Manager. However, organizing this information and making it reusable from job to job is a time -consuming and difficult task. Now, with the Aurora WOWE (WACI Offline Windows Editor), developers and programmers can rapidly create libraries of control sets on a Windows® PC and effortlessly transfer them to be reused in future projects at any time.
