Furman Announces P -6900 AR E Voltage Regulator/Power Conditioner and P -2300 IT E Balanced Power Conditioner
New Prestige Export Series Power Management Solutions Specifically Engineered for Pro A/V Applications in 220V-240V Regions
PETALUMA, Calif. - June 03, 2009 - Furman, a world -leading provider of power management solutions, today announced the newest additions to its Prestige Export Series of advanced power management solutions for 220V -240V regions: the P -6900 AR E rack -mount voltage regulator/power conditioner and P -2300 IT E rack -mount balanced power conditioner.
Ideal for providing power to A/V equipment in high -current applications, the P -6900 AR E features voltage regulation, power protection, and noise filtration at 30A capacity. The unit accepts input voltages from 188V to 270V and converts them to a steady, stable output, user -selectable to 230V or 240V (±10V). Voltages approximately ±10% beyond that range may be converted to usable levels, depending on the requirements of the equipment. This stable voltage protects equipment, allows optimal performance, and corrects problems caused by abnormally high or low voltages, including equipment lock -ups, overheating, and premature failure.
The P -6900 AR E's True RMS Voltage Regulation technology is driven by an ultra -low -noise, microprocessor -controlled, eight -tap toroidal autoformer engineered for use in any A/V environment. True RMS Voltage Regulation provides quiet operation for critical listening and recording applications with minimal leakage of stray magnetic fields. The autoformer's solid -state switching design does not inject noise into the audio signal, providing stable and quiet operation when subjected to severe voltage fluctuations - even when connected to power generators.
Power to the P -6900 AR E is supplied via a 30A C -Form connector with included female mating connector for termination of a custom line cord. Eight IEC C -13 receptacles (six rear panel, two front panel), two IEC C -19 receptacles, and one 30A C -Form receptacle are provided. All receptacles are fully regulated, protected, and filtered.
For mission -critical A/V installations such as recording, broadcasting, and mastering studios, or anywhere that pristine, ultra -low -noise power is necessary, Furman has introduced the P -2300 IT E balanced power conditioner. The P -2300 IT E provides safe, symmetrically balanced power to connected equipment for the lowest noise floor possible. The unit features over 80dB of linear common -mode noise reduction provided by a massive 43kg center -tapped, symmetrically balanced isolation transformer. The P -2300 IT E operates at 10A capacity and features fourteen IEC C -13 outlets (12 rear panel, two front panel) in two isolated outlet banks.
Both Prestige units are rack -mountable (3 -RU), with rear rack mounting ears included. The models feature Furman's proprietary Series Multi -Stage Protection (SMP) for comprehensive, non -sacrificial surge/spike protection, Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) to protect equipment from dangerous extreme voltage conditions, and Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT) for up to 50dB of differential noise reduction.
Convenience features include a front -panel digital voltmeter/true RMS ammeter with color -coded "Voltage Range," "Protection OK" and "Extreme Voltage" indicators for comprehensive power monitoring, and a front -panel USB charger for cell phones, personal media devices, or to power a USB lamp. Both models are safety agency listed (CE).
"We are very excited to introduce our newest Prestige Series power management solutions to our customers in 220V -240V regions," said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax/Furman. "These new products provide the most advanced power protection and filtration technologies available on the market, and are ideal for a wide range of professional A/V applications."
Both the P -6900 AR E and P -2300 IT E will begin shipping in August 2009.
