Parks Associates has announced the speakers in the Content and Services track at CONNECTIONS™: The Digital Living Conference & Showcase, which features a keynote from Verizon and sessions focused on the future of the set -top box, Web TV, advertising, and interactive services.

CONNECTIONS™, hosted by Parks Associates on June 2 -4 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, attracts senior executives from all industries associated with the digital home, new media and content distribution, and mobile applications and services.

Parks Associates research shows the number of broadband households worldwide now exceeds 400 million. In addition, more than 200 million households have a data network, and 73 million have a residential gateway.

"Widespread connectivity within the home opens opportunities for new business models, services, and offerings that break traditional barriers in bringing premium content to consumers," said Kurt Scherf, vice president, principal analyst, Parks Associates. "The number of households worldwide subscribing to TV services will exceed 1.4 billion by 2013, offering tremendous revenue opportunities in bringing local and Web content as well as place - and time -shifting services to different devices throughout the home."
