Deal ensures compatibility of Aspire RF™ devices with manufacturer's home theater controls systems
PEACHTREE CITY, GA., April 15, 2009 - Cooper Wiring Devices, a division of Cooper Industries, announces it has been certified as an Integration partner with Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI). The Integration program certifies that RTI home theater control products and Aspire RF wireless lighting control devices can be seamlessly integrated using the Aspire RF Serial Interface Programming Module (#RF232).
The RF232 Serial Interface Programming Module provides a RS232 connection to RTI's remote control processors. Through the module, RTI dealers can easily control individual dimmers, switches, receptacles and lamp modules. Moreover, they have the ability to communicate and control scenes and areas managed by the system. RTI's dealers will also have the added advantage of three new pre -written entries in their next controller library download for ease of programming. The serial protocol (ASCII) is also free to the integrator community and can be found at www.cooperwiringdevices.com/AspireRF in the "Support" section.
The Aspire RF wireless control system, powered by Z -Wave® technology, features a full line of switches, receptacles, dimmers, scene control keypads, remote controls, accessories and screwless wall plates. All products are interoperable, and are fully compatible with a wide range of products from other Z -Wave manufacturers. The entire system is controlled with the press of a single button on a remote control, and can be joined with other devices to create "events" or "scenes" that offer ambience, security, convenience and energy savings.
"We are excited to be partners with RTI and believe the loyal customers of both companies will reap the value and service benefits it creates now and offers down the road," said Jason Sherrill, Product Manager at Cooper Wiring Devices. "Developing partnerships with category leaders like RTI enables us to provide a much needed convenience to installers looking for a competitive advantage in these challenging economic times."
"RTI is happy to welcome Cooper Wiring Devices to our Integration Partner Program," said Pete Baker, VP Sales and Marketing at RTI. "We look forward to working closely with Cooper to provide seamless integration solutions for the Aspire RF wireless lighting control products. This will be a great resource for our mutual dealers and integrators."
