RUNCO SHOWS NEW LARGE -SCREEN HOME CINEMA DISPLAYS AND ITS EXCLUSIVE OPAL™ FLAT -PANEL IMAGE ENHANCEMENT TECHNOLOGY
Optical Path Alignment (OPAL) technology optimizes flat-panel imagery to produce exceptional images.
Amsterdam, NL - ISE 2009 - Feb 3 -5 - Meeting Room D - Runco, the leading global brand in luxury video solutions for home cinema, will showcase its newest video displays at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2009. For the first time, Runco will show European A/V system integrators its new flat panel displays, including its exclusive Optical Path Alignment (OPAL™) image enhancement technology, and its new in -wall projection system.
Runco's newest 1080p LCD and plasma flat panels deliver a masterful blend of image prowess, impeccable design and state -of -the -art craftsmanship. They are perfectly suited for rooms of distinction where a large screen size is desired, but where ambient light issues make front projection difficult. The new displays o be shown at ISE provide integrators with larger screen sizes, incredibly accurate video processing, and installer -friendly features to achieve cinematic quality in environments where living space is at a premium.
Runco's new 50 -inch CinemaWall™ XP -50HD plasma features integrated Vivix II™ processing, ISFccc™ calibration, and Dynamic Pixel Protection™ technology. Two new Crystal Series™ LCDs offer new screen sizes -the 65 -inch CX -65HD and 47 -inch CX -OPAL47 -and feature internal Vivix II processing with Runco's RTR™ (Real -Time Refresh) 120Hz technology, a full connectivity suite including HDMI 1.3a with Deep Color modes, Runco's exclusive WideVision™ technology with VirtualWide™ mode, and the ISF® (Imaging Science Foundation) calibration suite.
Going beyond typical flat -panel displays, the CX -OPAL47 also features Runco's revolutionary new OPAL image enhancement technology, which addresses common flat -panel problems, particularly ambient light that directly competes against and degrades flat -panel images and distracts the viewer. Runco's OPAL is the first flat panel technology that utilizes proprietary micro -visual surface treatment to provide three essential benefits to viewers who demand the best image fidelity. OPAL's Ambient -Light Rejection (ALR™) technology reduces internal and surface reflections by more than 20 times. Its Acute Contrast Enhancement™ (ACE) technology increases contrast by more than three times without losing image clarity within dark scenes, resulting in sharp, rich high -definition imagery. Finally, OPAL's ISS™ (Impact, Shake and Shock) technology enhances the panel's resistance to dust contamination, condensation and direct impact (hand -held game control), protecting the TV screen surface and making it less sensitive to daily wear and tear.
Also on display at ISE 2009 is the VideoWallTM VW -100HD in -wall projection video display system, which represents an entirely new product category for Runco. The VW -100HD achieves full HD (1920 x 1080) imagery on a sprawling 100 -inch screen, offering installation professionals new levels of versatility and convenience for environments where an ultra -large screen is required, but front projection is difficult or impossible to deliver. The VW -100HD is a completely self -contained in -wall projection system with a low -profile design that includes a rear assembly less than 32 inches in depth, with sloping side panels that enable the system to fit into the tightest spaces. As a result, integrators have tremendous installation flexibility and versatility.
Features of the VW -100HD include Runco's Constant Contrast technology with frame -by -frame contrast correction to provide stellar black levels within high contrast video content; Runco's exclusive CinOptxTM lens system, which incorporates O -PathTM light path enhancement for sharp -looking video; Runco's most advanced Vivix II internal video processing; Runco's Positive Pressure CoolingTM, an internal engine cooling design that reduces the need for excess cooling fans and ensures quiet operation levels in the process; the ISFccc calibration system; and WideVision aspect ratio conversion technology.
