BitWise Controls will give $12,000 worth of products FREE to installers working on projects for charities, schools or military personnel in 2009

January 26, 2009, Larkspur, CO - Following President Obama's call for Americans to invest in rebuilding our economy and infrastructure, BitWise Controls, LLC is extremely pleased to be able to do its part.

Each month during 2009, BitWise will donate $1,000 worth of control products to worthy projects within the custom -install community, as a way to improve the facilities for charity organizations, school children and military personnel. Installers working on such projects can apply to BitWise Controls to be selected for a month's grant of free product. Successful installations will be featured on the BitWise website to offer inspiration to others.

"We're extremely happy and proud to be able contribute to America's program of rebuilding and community service," says Lance Beck, CEO of BitWise Controls. "Using American technology and know -how is vital to building a stronger future for us all, and BitWise Controls is proud to develop and build our products in the US. We feel like we're an important building block to a strong recovery for the whole industry."

The BitWise Controls BC4 modular system offers a wide range of control and monitoring functionality and can be used to extend the capabilities of many popular existing control systems, or act as a standalone controller.

"We designed the BC4 range with a flexible approach to its functionality," says Mark Buster, CTO of BitWise Controls. "As installers ourselves, we wanted to be able to provide and extend control systems without the cost and proprietary nature of many traditional products, which limits what can be done and who can afford it. We believe the BC4 is the perfect 'Swiss Army knife' for installation professionals in residential, educational and commercial markets."

BitWise Controls extends the 'Yes We Can' attitude into their relationship with the custom install channel and the community -focused projects they'll be participating in this year. They intend to find novel solutions and note -worthy projects to publicize, providing technical knowledge and inspiration to help our industry recover from the current economic hurdles.

Installers interested in receiving the free products for their project can apply at the BitWise Controls website,

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
