AMX, worldwide leader in the audio/visual control industry, today announced the grand opening of its prestigious new 6,000 square foot showroom and office in the centre of London. The new London base houses a state -of -the -art product showroom, a fully -equipped board room, and a full -time training centre.

"With the rapid growth of AMX over the last few years we now require a location where our customers can interact with all of our products," said Rashid Skaf, AMX president and CEO. "The London office and showroom is the 7th new office and 3rd showroom to be completed in 2008 alone. In the heart of London we expect visitors from London, the UK, Europe and, indeed, from around the world."

The showroom provides an ideal environment for AMX to showcase complete integration across all its product lines. It features a working demonstration of the entire range of makes, models, colours and configurations of award -winning AMX products, including the company's flagship product line, the Modero Touch Panels. The high -tech space provides an interactive environment where customers can experience the real world applications of AMX technologies and software, and is designed to mirror showrooms opened by the company this year in New York and Las Vegas.

Throughout the showroom, sub -systems such as lighting, audio, HVAC and security integrate seamlessly with the products of more than 15 AMX Device Discovery partners. AMX Device Discovery is a technology which manufacturers can embed into their products for simplified integration into an AMX control system.

"The opening of the London showroom and office is a very exciting development for AMX and part of our continued ambitious expansion in the UK," said Timothy Penn, managing director, AMX Europe. "To further strengthen operations across Europe, AMX in York, where we have been for the last 15 years, will now officially become our new European headquarters to ensure the best possible support for all our current and future customers across this region."
The London office features a fully -equipped board room complete with audio / videoconferencing equipment, LCD display, distributed video from various sources, and automated lights and blinds.

The facility includes a full -time training centre for AMX University, the company's worldwide training programme. Courses will be provided for all of the company's product lines. The current training schedule is available at www.amx.com/training.
