Showcase of AV technology applications for the Hospitality, Leisure & Entertainment Industries AV industry leaders at InfoComm Asia 2008, largest dedicated trade show in Asia for pro AV and systems integration
(Hong Kong, 25 September 2008) Hotel and resort managers, leisure park operators, entertainment service providers, show producers or event managers will be able to see, assess and learn about a broad spectrum of audiovisual solutions this November 19 -21 at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. InfoComm Asia 2008, the pan Asian trade show for pro AV technology and systems integration will debut with more than 226 exhibiting companies from 20 countries, including three group pavilions - Singapore, Taiwan and the USA.
The trend in the entertainment industry is moving from merely 'showing' to offering immersive and interactive experiences for the audience. Equipment like 3D projectors, wide field -of -view screens or panoramic domed or curved screens, giant indoor and outdoor LED display systems, 'sensurround' sound systems, and dynamic lightings are some of the 'tools' which entertainment providers use to empower audiences to be fully engaged with their program, giving them a powerful and memorable experience.
These technologies are showcased in a dedicated Entertainment Technology Pavilion at InfoComm Asia 2008, where industry leaders will present their latest AV hardware and software applications for the entertainment industry. Among the applications featured are high impact medium such as immersive, 3D and large format LED display and projection systems from Barco and Lighthouse; digital cinema technology from Christie and Projectiondesign; Zeppelin iPOD® speaker systems from Bowers and Wilkins; auditorium audio systems from Beyerdynamic and DIS Danish Interpretation Systems; Show and Media Control software for theme parks, museums, casinos, theaters, planetarium, live events, architectural video, showrooms, etc, from Medialon; touchpanel contol systems to automate and streamline lightings and AV equipment from Crestron; and matrix switchers for high resolution computer -video and stereo audio routing from Extron and Kramer.
Hospitality and leisure park operators may also be interested to visit the Digital Signage Pavilion, where buyers and decision makers can learn how they can tap the power of digital signage to inform, promote and captivate their customers. Manufacturers like LG Electronics, DT Research and SMART Technology bring their complete digital signage solutions including interactive boards to the Pavilion.
The hospitality, leisure and entertainment sector is one of several key markets for the AV vendors gathered at InfoComm Asia 2008. Other exhibiting companies catering to this market include Batrix, BXB, Beijing CuanBo Jiye Electronic, Beijing Leyard, Brahler & Quadra, Broadsign, ClearOne, Creator, Da -Lite, Dehao Electronics, Dynascan, Gefen, IEI Technology, Join Merit Media, Oripix, RTI Controls (EZ Control Technology), Taiden, Televic, Sanyo, Sharp -Roxy, Stewart Filmscreen, Vity, VTRON, and Zhaoke Electronics. Altogether, some 226 manufacturers and suppliers will collectively put up a comprehensive display of the AV technologies tailored for the diverse Asian markets.
In addition to the trade exhibition, there will also be a Summit program comprising educational seminars, manufacturers' presentations and industry -focused conferences, viz. Transportation, Building, Facility Management and Education. A key component of the industry conferences is the technical site visit program to give participants a better appreciation of AV applications in the various industries. Visits to the command and control centers of facilities which have installed or employed AV systems extensively have been planned.
