GefenTV Delivers Two Revolutionary Ethernet Extenders Using the Existing Cable Infrastructure to Deliver Internet throughout the Home or Office

Offering true plug and play functionality, the GefenTV Ethernet over Powerline and Ethernet over Coax extension systems were demonstrated by Gefen at CEDIA.

GefenTV Ethernet over Powerline

This innovative system offers one of the easiest methods of Ethernet distribution available today. By using existing in -wall wiring, users can access the Internet without any additional wiring anywhere in the building. To access, users connect their cable or DSL modem to the sender unit, which is plugged into a wall jack for power. The Ethernet
is transmitted through this powerline connection and distributed to any other wall jack in the home or office. When the receiver's 4 -port hub is connected to another wall jack, it delivers four active Ethernet connections with speeds up to 200 Mbps, offering a secure, wired transmission performing better than today's wi -fi systems.

GefenTV Ethernet over Coax
This sender/receiver system uses the same methodology as the powerline version, but the home's existing coax cable system is utilized to distribute the Internet. The sender unit links an Ethernet signal to the in -wall cable infrastructure using a coaxial port, while the receiver delivers four active Ethernet connections to any other room in the same building.

"We've tested the GefenTV Ethernet over Coax on a dedicated coax line with a delivery range of over 850 feet at transmission speeds reaching up to 600 megabits per second," said Hagai Gefen, president and CEO, Gefen Inc. "This makes the GefenTV Ethernet over Coax extender a high performance solution offering one of the easiest and
most reliable ways to access the Internet in large -scale homes without rewiring."

Both extenders from Gefen come with easy installation instructions and built -in security codes to protect the system.
