Panamax Partners With Peters -Revington to Offer High -End Home Theater Furniture Equipped With Power Management Systems
Now Shipping to Dealers, Media Cabinets Feature Panamax's M8-HT for the Longevity and Enhanced Performance of A/V Components
PETALUMA, Calif. - Aug. 27, 2008 - Panamax, a world -leading provider of AC power management solutions, today announced that the company has partnered with Peters -Revington, an industry -leading manufacturer of high -end furniture, to include the M8 -HT power conditioner in its home theater media cabinets. Now shipping to dealers, the integrated solutions will enhance the audio and video quality of consumers' systems while protecting components from power irregularities.
Peters -Revington is one of the first manufacturers to build furniture designed specifically for home theater components with an integrated power management system. Installed at the Peters -Revington factory, the M8 -HT is mounted on the back side of the cabinet, making it easily accessible for connection. For added convenience and a clean look, provisions for cord management have also been built into the cabinets. Peters -Revington is offering the M8 -HT unit with more than 120 models of media cabinet designs.
"We are proud to offer the M8 -HT with our media cabinets and feel it gives us an opportunity to provide our customers with an unparalleled experience," said Robert Halsten, vice president of product development for Peters -Revington, a division of CR -Home. "With the M8 -HT, not only will the viewing and listening experience be enhanced, but our customers' investments will be protected - for life - with a warranty that guarantees to protect their sensitive components connected to the unit, even against direct lightning."
Designed to work with high -definition (HD) systems, the M8 -HT offers power cleaning and filtration to eliminate common symptoms of AC line noise, including loss of detail, pops, hisses, hums, and visual artifacts, allowing equipment to perform at its full capability for an optimal home theater experience. The unit features Panamax's exclusive Protect or Disconnect™ circuitry, which completely disconnects AC power to connected equipment in the event of a catastrophic surge while integrated coax/sat and telephone/LAN line protection prevents electrical surges that travel over cable, satellite, and antenna lines.
For the protection and longevity of home theater components, the M8 -HT also features Automatic Voltage Monitoring (AVM), a patented technology that monitors the incoming AC power and, in the event of an unsafe voltage, disconnects power to connected components. Once the voltage returns to safe levels, power is restored to the connected equipment.
"This unique partnership speaks to the increasing level of awareness concerning the benefits of power management, not only from the standpoint of Peters -Revington, but from the consumer perspective, as well," said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax and Furman. "Savvy consumers are realizing that to receive the ultimate experience from their home theater system, and to protect the investment they've made in that system, a quality power management system, such as the M8 -HT, is no longer an optional add -on, but rather a necessary component."
The M8 -HT is available at an MSRP of $99.95. Pricing for media cabinets with the integrated M8 -HT will retail from $700 to $1100.
