Award -Winning Supernova™ Optical Front Projection Screen Technology in an Economical Frame Construction Format

COSTA MESA, CA -July 16, 2007 -dnp, the world's most innovative producer of optical projection screens, recently revolutionized the industry with their Supernova Screen, the first -ever optical front projection screen that allows for viewing in brightly lit environments. Today dnp announced the release of the new dnp Supernova Core Screen, an easy to assemble frame -mounted version that provides all the benefits of Supernova Screen technology at a significantly lower cost coupled with easy wall mounted installation. The Supernova Core comes in a wide variety of sizes, complete with an attractive black flock frame and straightforward assembly instructions.

"The addition of the Supernova Core to the Supernova product line is an exciting opportunity for dnp," stated Manfred Freiberger, senior account manager for dnp USA. "The Core screen gives the added benefit of an easy installation wall mounted application in a large theater -style construction. And with the patented Supernova technology built into the Core design, the user has the choice of mounting the screen in a dedicated movie room or any other room in they wish, with no concern about ambient light levels."

Made up of seven high -tech layers that actively ensure a superb viewing experience, the Supernova Core combines the superior image quality of an optical rear projection screen with the advantages of a front projection screen's minimal space requirements and ease of installation.

The Supernova Core delivers up to two times brighter images and ten times higher contrast than standard front projection screens. Supernova's unique, proprietary technologies include the use of revolutionary high -contrast filters that allow the projected image to be reflected from the screen while effectively absorbing incidental light from other angles such as windows and room lighting with the result that the screen is virtually unaffected by ambient light. It also incorporates a technologically advanced reflection layer which provides revolutionary half -gain angles up to +/ - 80°, a black color layer that sets new standards for color reproduction, and a hard, scratch resistant surface coating for easy handling and a no -shimmer image. Supreme black levels are balanced with an ergonomic brightness level to create vivid images with full color saturation to prevent eyestrain regardless of viewing position.

With sizes ranging from 72" to 120", the Supernova Core offers the highest quality large screen available - at a surprisingly small price. The screen comes rolled up with a frame that is remarkably easy to assemble. Metal rods slip into pockets sewn in on the back of the screen. The rods and adjustable hooks on the back of the frame connect to hold the screen up and keep the screen surface straightened. The Supernova Core is intended to hang on the wall and is compatible with all standard projectors.
