Work Smarter with Improved Ingenious IR from NILES

In recreating Ingenious IR, Niles did what was previously considered impossible: deliver a complete line of infrared extender systems with extended range and wide off-axis operation that provides total solutions in virtually any environment.

That now includes all the latest flat -panel TV technologies, including LCD and plasma. Custom systems can now be installed solely on installation requirements, not environmental limitation like plasma and LCD displays, indirect sunlight and fluorescent lights.

Additionally, Niles main system units (MSU) provide a host of advanced automation capabilities via contact closures and 12V triggers that are activated by the presence of system status or discrete infrared commands. Niles lets you show off the genius of your custom installation.

Infrared Products Old -to -new Transition Strategy The new Ingenious™ IR line -up of infrared extender systems is being updated to provide even higher performance and reliability. Specifically, all IR sensors have been reengineered to be even more resistant to plasma TV interference and also be resistant to LCD TV interference. Plus, IR sensor sensitivity is enhanced which effectively doubles the range of reception and increases the angle of operation. This memo will guide you through the transition to the newly redesigned line.

New Ingenious™ IR Facts

■ Niles new Ingenious IR has reengineered sensor designs and all new sensors have improved rejection to Plasma and now LCD TV interference

■ The new sensors have improved operating range, i.e. better distance and wider angle of operation

■ All old sensors will be discontinued and new sensors will take their place

■ New sensors have different model numbers, stock numbers, and new packaging but prices remain the same as their older counterparts

■ MSUs (main system units) and flashers have not changed in design but their packaging will be updated to match the new sensors. They will continue to use existing model and stock numbers

■ New sensors and old sensors are compatible in the same system, so a new sensor could be retrofitted into an older system and improve performance of that system with no other change

■ The RCA kits have changed: RCA2 and RCA3 are being discontinued and replaced by three new kits:

RCA -HT Remote Control Anywhere!® Kit for Home Theater Application
Includes: Sensor, main system unit, flashers, and 50' of cat 5 cable
Packaged for retail display

RCA -SM Remote Control Anywhere!® Kit with Surface Mount Sensor
Includes: Sensor, main system unit, flashers, and 50' of cat 5 cable
Packaged for retail display

RCA -TT Remote Control Anywhere!® Kit with Table Top Sensor
Includes: Sensor, main system unit, flashers, and 50' of cat 5 cable
Packaged for retail display

PureLink - HCE III TX/RX: 4K HDR over HDBaseT Extension System w/ Control and Bi-Directional PoE

The HCE III Tx/Rx HDBaseT™ extension system offers full HDMI 2.0 compliance supporting HDR (High Dynamic Range) and 4K@60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling. Featuring PureLink's proprietary Prcis codec, a light compression technology, the HCE III can transport Ultra HD/4K, multi-channel audio, and High Dynamic Range (10 bits support) content over a single CATx cable. The HCE III provides HDMI extension up to 130 feet (40 meters) at Ultra HD/4K and up to 230 ft. (70 meters) at 1080p over category cable with embedded multi-channel audio, CEC pass-through, bi-directional RS-232 and IR control, and PoE - all with zero loss and zero noise. The HCE III Tx/Rx also supports Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio plus LCPM (up to 192 kHz). Additionally, the low profile "slim box" enclosure design make the HCE III ideal for limited space installation environments, such as behind flat panel displays and video walls.
